Activity 1:  Learn About Your State
You have been assigned a number.  
Look below to see which state you have been assigned to research.  
It's your job to become an expert on your assigned state.  
Using the links listed above, find out what your state has to offer the average tourist.  
Gather 15 facts about your state - facts that would encourage a tourist to visit your state.  
Write these 15 facts down on a piece of paper using your own words.

Activity 2:  Design a 15 Point "Vacation Here!" Fact Sheet About Your State
Open up a new word processing document.  
Use the information you just gathered to create a 15 Point "Vacation Here!" Information Fact Sheet about your assigned state.  
Give 15 good reasons why a tourist should visit your assigned state.  
Write in complete sentences.  Use your own words.  
No spelling errors or grammar errors allowed.

Activity 3:  Design a Postage Stamp for Your State
Use the paint program and your 15 Point "Vacation Here!"  Information Fact Sheet to help you design a Postage Stamp for your assigned state.  
This stamp must be attractive and it must visually represent your state.

Activity 4:  Design a PostCard for Your State
You have just been hired by the fictitious Postcards Are Us! to design a postcard for your state. 
Use the information and the facts you just collected to help you design this postcard. 
Your postcard must be attractive. 
It must show off the wonders of your state! 

 

Activity 5:  Design a Travel Poster for Your State
Use the facts you just gathered to help you design a poster for the Travel Bureau for Your State
Your Travel Poster must be attractive and encouraging. 
It must convince future tourists to say "Yes, I want to visit this state!"
