Activity 1: The Internet:  Find 5 Facts about the State of Michigan
Using at least 3 Internet resources, find 5 facts about the State of Michigan. 
a.    Each fact must show how Michigan is unique, special, and one of a kind.
b.    Each fact must be at least 50 words.  Do NOT plagiarize. 
Write using your words.
c.    Write a citation for each online resource that you use.  
       You must use at least 3 Internet resources. Go here if you forgot how to write a citation.

 

Activity 2: Paint Program: Design a Michigan License Plate

  1. Read over your 5 facts.  Choose one of them.  Identify its theme.

  2. Open up a new paint file.  Design a license plate for that one fact, for that one theme.  Use this format:
     

  3. All graphics must be drawn by you.

  4. Save as:  License Plate 

  5. Do not print.

Activity 3: Paint Program & Word Processing Program
The Final Product

  1. Open up your License Plate paint file.  Copy and paste your license plate into a new word processing file.

  2. Center your license plate.  Press return 2 times.  

  3. Change the font and its size to Arial 14.

  4. Type, center, and bold a title that includes this information:
                The Theme of Your License Plate
                                        by
                              Your Full Name

  5. Press return 2 times.  Turn centering off.  Turn bold off.

  6. Type your 5 facts.   Each fact must be at least 50 words. Write using your own words.   Press return 2 times after each fact.

  7. When you are finished typing your 5 facts, do this: 
    Type, center, and bold this word: Bibliography

  8. Press return 2 times.   Turn centering off.   Turn bold off.

  9. Type your citations.   Press return 2 times after each citation.

  10. Proofread and spell check.

  11. Save As:  LP Report 

  12. Print.
