Things You Should Know About Teens & Driving
Answer the questions listed below in order.  Do so on lined paper.  Write in complete sentences using your own words.

  2. Never Drink and Drive! 
    Go to this site Never Drink & Drive.  
    Find 10 good reasons why you should NEVER drink & drive.

  3. Zero Tolerance!  
    Go to this site Zero Tolerance and read it.  
    Using 75 words explain the Zero Tolerance Law.

Extra Credit ...
Part 1:  Driving Strategies:  Based on what you know, answer these questions:
a.    Why is it important for you and your passengers to wear seatbelts? 
b.    Why is it important to go the speed limit? 
c.    Why should you never do these things while driving - talk on a car phone, listen to loud music, drink hot coffee, look at the person you are talking to, read a map, shave, comb your hair or apply makeup?
d.    Why is it important to be a defensive driver, to always be on the look out for reckless drivers?
e.    Why is it important to be a polite driver? 
Part 2:  Never Drink and Drive:  Answer these 2 questions:
a.    What rule do you think your parents should have for you about drinking and driving?
b.    What consequences do you think your parents should have for you if you should break this rule?

 

Activity 2: Painting Program

Open up a new paint file.  
Create the 4 graphics listed below in one paint file.
Save this paint file as: graphics + your computer code.

Create a graphic that goes with this statement: Never Drink & Drive!

Create a graphic for Michigan's Zero Tolerance Law.

 

Activity 3: PowerPoint
Go to this site.  Read the section labeled, Suggestions: Slideshow Design.
Open up PowerPoint.  Create the 6 slides listed below. Educate other teenagers about how to be a safe teenage driver.
Save your slideshow as: DRIVE + your computer code.
