Activity 1: Learn About Dinosaurs
Using your own words write your answers down for Questions 1-8 on lined paper.  
Write in complete sentences.  
Number each answer. 
Skip one line between each answer. 
  1. Dino Ride:  Think about your future Dino Park USA.  Choose one dinosaur that you could use for a ride. 
    a.    Draw a picture of it.
    b.    Write its name down.  
    c.    What time period did it live in?  (Triassic, Jurassic or Cretaceous?)
    d.    Was it a meat eater, a plant eater, or a meat & plant eater? 
    e.    What kind of ride could you create using this dinosaur?  Name it.  Like so: The Brontosaurus Water Slide Ride.

  2. Dino Game:  Think about your future Dino Park USA.  Choose one dinosaur that you could use for a game. 
    a.    Draw a picture of it.
    b.    Write its name down.  
    c.    What time period did it live in?  (Triassic, Jurassic or Cretaceous?)
    d.    Was it a meat eater, a plant eater, or a meat & plant eater?  
    e.    What kind of game could you create using this dinosaur?  Name it.  Like so: The Triceratops Ring Toss Game.

  3. Prehistoric Animal - Ride or Game:  Think about your future Dino Park USA.  Choose one prehistoric, non-dinosaur animal that you could use for a ride or a game. 
    a.    Draw a picture of it.
    b.    Write its name down.  
    c.    When did it live?
    d.    What did it eat?  
    e.    What kind of ride or game could you create using this prehistoric animal?  Name it.  
    Like so: The Pteranodon Birdplane Park Ride.

  4. Dinosaur:  Write down two important facts about dinosaurs. 

  5. Triassic Period:  Write down two important facts about this time period.

  6. Jurassic Period:  Write down two important facts about this time period.

  7. Cretaceous Period:  Write down two important facts about this time period.

  8. All the dinosaurs died.  Why do you think this happened? Go here and choose the reason that makes the most sense to you.  Why do you think this is the best reason?
 
 
Activity 2: Design Dino Park USA
Open up a new word processing file.  
Answer Questions 1-4.  
Write in complete sentences.  
Number and label each answer.  
Skip one line between each answer.  
Run a spell check.  
Save this file as Dino Park Design Info.  
Print it.

Rides and/or Games
For your park, create: 
a.  One Dino Ride:  Name it.  Describe how it works.
b.  One Dino Game:  Name it.  Describe how it works. 
c.  One Prehistoric Animal Game or Ride:  Name it.  Describe how it works.

Prizes
What prizes will you give away?   
List 3 dino prizes.

Restaurant Create a dino restaurant for your park. 
a.  Name it. 
b.  Describe what it looks like inside.
c.  Describe what it looks like outside.    
d.  Create a mini-menu for your restaurant.  
      Include 2 dino dinners, 2 dino drinks  and 2 dino desserts.
4 Dino Park USA Describe your Dino Park USA.  
a.  What time period or time periods will it be placed in? (Triassic, Jurassic or Cretaceous)
b.  What will I see when I enter your park?  
c.  What will I hear?  
d.  How will I feel?   
e.  What will I be able to do there?  

 

Activity 3: Draw Your Park & Draw A Billboard For Your Park

Then, go to the painting program and do the following:
  1. Layout
    Draw the layout of your park.  No stamps allowed. 
    Save this file as Dino Park Layout.  Print it. 

  2. Billboard
    Draw a billboard for your park.  No stamps allowed.  
    Save this file as Dino Park Billboard. Print it.
