This September, William B. Stout Middle 
School will celebrate its 45th birthday!

 

7th, 8th and 9th grade students walked 
through the doors of William B. Stout Junior 
High School for the first time in September of 1960.

William B. Stout Middle School 
was named after William Bushnell Stout.  
William B. Stout was a pioneer in aviation.  
He developed the Ford Tri-Motor Airplane.

Stout's mascot is the falcon.

FYI 
A Stout student back in the 1960's 
suggested that the hippopotamus 
should be Stout's mascot because 
a hippopotamus is stout!

 

Stout's official school colors 
are gold and white.
