| Mr. Abel & Mr. Krug, Head Coaches This year, Mr. Abel and Mr. Krug are sharing the responsibilities of Intramural Sports. Both have coached individual intramural sports over the past few years.

| Mr. Tom Haftley, Intramural Swimming Coach Mr. Haftley has served as a high school swim coach at Owasso, Monroe, Monroe Jefferson, and Belleville. He has been coaching Intramural Swimming for the past 4 years, and has an easy going approach that allows our students to enjoy themselves as they learn. He is currently a physical education teacher at Belleville’s North Middle School and is also their Track coach. Swimming is a lifetime sport that develops skills that promote health, fitness, and safety. Mr. Haftley commented that South’s Intramural Swimmers are “extremely well behaved.” |

Mr. Kevin Krug,
Intramural
Wrestling and Football Coach Mr. Krug is also one of South’s 7th grade football coaches, and has been the IM Flag Football coach for several years. He has also coached IM Roller Hockey – a sport that has been slowly being inserted into the intramural program. |

| Mrs. April Marcotte, Intramural Cheerleading Coach Mrs Marcotte is South's "Super Volunteer". She not only coaches Cheerleading, but also Martial Arts, and Aerobics. When Mrs. Marcotte coaches - she seems to involve most of her family. She began when her daughter, Lacy Jo, was a 6th grader, and has graciously continued on. Students learn discipline and respect in a manner that allows them to enjoy themselves while being competitive. In the past, Mrs. Marcotte was South's Cheerleading coach. |

| Mrs. Bonnie Stamm, Intramural Volleyball Coach Mrs. Stamm has been involved in winning volleyball for over ten years at South. She has been the head volleyball coach for 7th & 8th graders and has the knowledge to produce excellent skill-oriented athletes in this sport. She has coached IM volleyball for several years, and South's 6th graders usually list this sport as one of their favorites. |

| Mr. Charles Brown, Intramural Basketball Coach Mr. Brown has coached our basketball program for the past several years. He has an easay going manner - that still allows him to manage the large groups that this sport entices. Sixth graders learn through drills and scrimmages the meaning of team work - in contrast to what they learn in their driveway or on the playground. |

Ms. Stacy Belleau, Intramural Softball Coach Mrs. Belleau has coached IM Softball at South for the past 2 years. Most of her background in softball has been recreational, although she has played on a league team. Ms. Belleau has a firm but friendly manner that allows her to lead and keep the students interest in this sport.

Mr. Fred Abel, Intramural Football Coach Mr. Abel has a relaxed, yet competent, style of instruction. His love for athletics allows him to instill students with enthusiasm. He has coached IM Football for the past 3 years and has also taken on IM Track. Mr. Abel has worked with Mr. Krug as South 7th grade Football Coach for several years.
