ATHLETIC EVENT RULES FOR THE STUDENTS

1. Plan all transportation the day before; not during the day of the event. Arrange  to have your ride pick you up by the cafeteria exit in front of the building. Students may not use the office phone to arrange rides.

2. Students will have to make a choice in terms of which event they will watch. Students must stay in the gym or cafeteria (depending on the event they want to watch) until half time. Then they may choose to switch events.

When going to the games, students must take their books, coats, etc. as the athletic gates will be down and you will not be able to return to your locker to get these materials.

3. Students who stay after for practice, meets and games must remain on school property from the time they are dismissed from class until their ride picks them up. You are not allowed to leave the property and return unless you walk to and from school on a regular basis. You may not leave to go to the shopping center, stores, etc. and return to school property for athletic events.

4. Hats are not to be worn in the school during athletic events.

5. No food or drinks are allowed in the gym.

6. Use the lavatory prior to entering the gym. Students will not be allowed to wander in and out of the gym during the actual game.

7. Be seated in the bleachers at all times. Additionally, students are not to stamp their feet on the bleachers. Students are not allowed in the balcony area during athletic events.

8. Taunting, booing, name calling, or other forms of unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and the students will be asked to leave the event.

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES SHALL BE PLACED IN ISS, OSS, OR DENIED THE PRIVILEGE OF ATTENDING FUTURE ATHLETIC EVENTS OR A COMBINATION OF ALL THREE CONSEQUENCES.
