Clarence Randall Elementary School is a neighborhood school serving over 500 students from kindergarten through grade six. A staff of over 50 professional and support personnel are dedicated to the academic, social and emotional growth of our students.

Randall students are provided with a comprehensive instructional program that stresses basic skills as well as enrichment. The core curriculum provides our students with learning experiences in reading, writing, English, spelling, speaking, listening, literature, mathematics, science, social studies, health, physical education, and vocal and instrumental music. Our curriculum guides are continually updated to reflect the latest research and the Michigan Department of Education’s goals and objectives. Students also participate in a wide range of enriching programs and activities that enhance the academic curriculum.

A Brief Randall History
Randall Elementary School was named in honor of Clarence Randall, a Taylor Board of Education member from 1937-1966. Dedicated to the children of Taylor, he held every Board office during his tenure.

Randall opened its doors in October of 1956 under the leadership of principal Margaret Pilon. Originally the building had 10 classrooms and a capacity for 350 students. Enrollment continued to increase causing the first building addition in the fall of 1957, bringing the school's capacity to 630 students. Shortly thereafter a second and third addition was added (the last in 1962) making Randall one of the largest elementary schools in Taylor. At that time, Randall’s enrollment jumped to 1,300 students.

During our almost 50 year history, Randall has successfully educated thousands of Taylor students with the dedicated help of hundreds of teachers and support personnel. This fine tradition continues for our 21st century students.
