Use of Information
Step 4
4. Use of Information:
Engage in the source (read, hear, view, touch).
- Take a look at all the information
that you got.
- Decide whether your thesis
statement needs to be changed.
- Extract relevant information
from the articles. Using the printouts and notes that you gathered,
decide what is useful for your topic. Highlight the information that
might be especially useful for your topic.
- Analyze the information and prepare
to use it in your final product. Do an outline to show how you will
organize your information.
- You should summarize or paraphrase
the information and prepare to do citations for the material you use.
Show Mrs. Gwaltney the outline and the highlighted articles
that you have used.
