After you have read your selection, choose one of the following activities to illustrate the story. 
Remember that whatever method you choose must give me, the reader, a sense of
what the story is about.  Follow directions carefully.

1)  Develop a cross word puzzle with the characters and events of the story as the clues and answers.
You must have at  least 8 clues across and 8 clues down and correct cross word puzzle style
(any intersecting words must share a letter). Answers must be provided and the final copy
must be done in ink or word processed.

2)  Write a letter that one of the characters might have written to another character or to the reader
 of the story.  Correct letter form must be used and the tone must reflect a style that would be used
 by the character.  The letter must show the sense of the story so that the reader would
 know what the story is about. This must be word processed.

3)  Write a newspaper article that might have appeared about the events of the story. 
Be sure to use a headline that would have announced the event.  Remember that a
newspaper article tells the when, what, and where of the event and then develops the report. 
This must be word processed.

4)  Write a test that will show that you understand the characters, events, and feelings of the story.
For your grade, I must be  able to tell what the story is about.  There must be at least 20 questions
 with the answers.  This must be word processed.
