School starts at 8:35 AM and ends at 3:25 PM.   In the event of a school closing, please tune to local radio stations (WJR or WWJ), the local television stations, or to the district's cable station.

Children should plan to arrive no more than 10 minutes before the first bell, as children are not allowed in the classroom without teacher supervision.

If students are kept after school any more than 10 minutes, the parents will be notified.

If you find it necessary to come into school before dismissal time, please wait outside the school.   No parents are to wait at classroom doors.

If you need to pick up your child early from school, please come in to the office to sign your child out.

Hot lunch can be purchased by the students for $2.00 per day, including milk.  On Fridays, students have the option of purchasing Marcos pizza for $2.50.  Lunch money and orders are collected early in the morning.  Parents will be responsible for the lunch charge in the case that a student does not bring money or a bag lunch.

The application for free or reduced lunches is available from the school office, or by calling the Food Services Department at 734.379.9330.

Kindercare is a pay to participate program for those parents who want a full day educational program for their Kindergarten student.  For the 2006-2007 school year, the Kindercare program meets during the school day.  If the student attends AM Kindergarten, then the student will attend PM Kindercare and vice versa.  The Kindercare program focuses on socialization and creativity.  To register your child, please call 734.675.4649.  A current physical is required to attend the program.

Kid's club is a before and after school program at Weiss School for those parents who need child care services beyond the scope of the regular school day.  The program provides services from 6:00AM to 6:30PM.  The philosophy of the program is to provide loving and supportive child care services in a comfortable and creative setting.  Kid's club is a pay to participate program.  For registration and fee information, please call 734.675.4649.
