Reading Recovery

Reading Recovery is a one-on-one reading program to assist first grade children who are just not learning to read through conventional classroom teaching. Gibraltar School District received a three-year-grant in 2000 to train four teachers in this highly acclaimed method of instruction. Students are put through an accelerated program to catch up, or exceed their classmates reading abilities in a twenty-week time frame
