 Carlson Concert Choir

This ensemble for mixed voices provides an opportunity for students of all grades to experience singing.In this class students will focus on learning and applying proper vocal technique as well as improving musical skills by rehearsing and performing a wide variety of choral repertoire.

Concert Band        2 Semesters (1yr.)   053

Prerequisite: Audition with Director

This ensemble is designed for the player who wants to work on their musical and instrumental skills before moving to the Symphonic Band.  In this class the ensemble members will focus on strengthening their rhythmic, tonal, and instrumental abilities by practicing a number of different exercises as well as performing band literature.

Prerequisite: Audition with the Director.

This ensemble is designed for the more advanced player who wants to solidify their technical musical skills and their personal expression.  Rehearsal and performance will be the main educational medium with the band performing at least 6 times throughout the year including the MSBOA Festival.  Through these performances the ensemble members will be exposed to some of the finest and diverse band literature written.
