Toronto Information

1/9/01

Dear Parents,

Yes, the Toronto Trip is still on!  Because I did not have the amount of people sign up that I had hoped the band will only be taking one bus to Toronto.  This means that only a maximum of 55 people may attend the trip.  Currently there are approximately 38 students signed up for the trip and I have already heard from about 6 parents that want to go on the trip so there is still some room left for any students or parents that have not signed up.  Remember the Trip Dates are still as follows:

Thursday May 2nd –Depart from Carlson arrive in Toronto

Friday May 3rd –See the sights and perform at Festivals of Music

Saturday May 4th –See more sights and attend Medieval Times for Awards Ceremony.

Sunday May 5th –Depart for Carlson Arrive approximately at 3:00pm

Even though the band is down to one bus the trip still costs $444. (Actually a four dollar increase.)  In reworking the trip for less people I have based the trip on 45 people.  Any number of people over 45 up to 55 and the price will go down.  Remember that this price includes two meals a day plus travel expenses and hotel costs.  Here is new payment schedule for the trip:

                        January 21st --$125

                        February 28th --$150

                        March 22nd –balance

There are still plenty of fund raisers in the works, including an opportunity to work at a twirling competition on February 9th so please do not hesitate to fundraise all or part of this cost.

I will also be having a meeting shortly to explain what one will need for this trip as well as some more of the trip logistics.  Until that time, keep fundraising and thinking about Canada.

                                                                                                Musically,

                                                                                                David Brockington
