The PPI/ECP program at the Early Childhood Center  in Rockwood Michigan services students from the following districts; Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile and Huron.  PPI stands for Pre-Primary Impaired. Under new laws, PPI has now become Early Childhood Developmentally Delayed. The PPI program has now become the Early Childhood Program.  You will be seeing this new term in place of PPI.   The students in the program have different educational needs and  may  be identified as developmentally delayed.  Help with evaluations for Gibraltar preschoolers is available from; Ms. Judy Blair school psychologist.  Send a request to

The PPI/ECP classroom is set up using a very strong language approach.  We pick themes and we do pre readiness activities, as well as sing songs, read stories and make art projects.  One goal  of the program is to make our student's first experience in school a very positive one.
