Preschool Age 3 - 6 Preprimary Impaired Program

Every student attending PPI Preschool has a learning problem...a delay in some area of development which qualifies him/her for special help.  The program is designed "cross-categorically."   This means that any and all of the special education areas could be represented by children in the program.

About the Teachers:

Each class has a maximum of 12 students and one teacher, and one paraprofessional. The head teacher in the class is certified in at least one special education area and certified to teach young children.  The assistant teacher is a qualified paraprofessional.

Students may receive therapy or further evaluation from the following as needed and indicated in their individual educational program (IEP).

There are regularly scheduled parent meetings and parenting classes.  These are exciting opportunities to learn from professionals, learn from other parents, and cover topics of great interest.
