BPA STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Carlson High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter for the 10th year has competed at the State level competition. 

 

During the weekend of March 13-15, fifteen students from Carlson High School attended the Business Professionals of America State Conference at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The students attending the conference included Alicia Bobowski, Brooke, Dudek, Jacqueline Fernandez, Thomas Habratowski, Brandon Herzog, Dave LaForest, Candice Lewis, Jacob Perry, Rachel Sarkody, Natalie Sullivan, Jessica Torok, Thad Turner, Nigil Valikodath, Kim VanNess, and Jessica Wood.  Brenda Bechtol, deAndra Fountain, and Allison Ochalek attended the conference as club advisors, and student teacher Beth Iott attended as an additional chaperone.  Throughout the weekend, students competed in business-related competitions, attended workshops, and participated in other fun activities.  At the awards ceremony Brooke Dudek, Candice Lewis, Kim Van Ness, and Jessica Wood, took 5th place as part of the Economic Research Project team, and Tom Habratowski took a bronze metal in the Administrative Support Concepts event.  All students that attended the conference worked hard and did an excellent job representing Carlson High School.  Congratulations on a job well done!
