Carlson High SchoolOur Mission is to create an environment for all students in which they gain the life skills to contribute positively to an ever-changing society. Carlson High School is located near the Detroit River at the mouth of Lake Erie. The School District is comprised of 5 cities Gibraltar, Flat Rock, Woodhaven, Rockwood, and Brownstown Twp. Carlson is also a member of the Downriver Consortium that partners with 9 other area High Schools as well as the Area Community Colleges i.e. Monroe County Community College, Henry Ford Community College, Wayne County Community College, and Michigan Institute of Aeronautics. Carlson is a NCA CERTIFIED, Class A school with approximately 1100 students and 48 faculty members. Carlson is involved in numerous community activities, such as the School to Work and the Renaissance Programs. Success is demonstrated by our school benchmarks in not only academics, but sports, scholarships, fine arts, performing arts, and technology as well.
