HOW TO FIND A GOOD BOOK

  1. Ask a friend if he or she has read a good book lately.
  2. Ask a teacher of librarian to suggest a book you might like.
  3. If you recently read a book that you enjoyed, read a different book by the same author.
  4. Explore the library for something that catches your eye and then read the summary on the back cover or inside the front cover.
  5. Don't always judge a book by the cover.  Some of the best books may look a little worn because they have been loved so much.
  6. Read the first page to see if it grabs your attention.
  7. Look at the illustrations.
  8. Look at the book return cart for books that other students have been reading.
  9. Read about your hobbies or things that you want to learn more about.
  10. Explore the non-fiction section of the library.
