Our Mission
To serve the students and faculty of Belleville High School by supporting and expanding upon the school curriculum using a variety of media and programming. The center will promote the development of information skills, media literacy, and lifelong learning. We support the guidelines set forth for school media centers in the American Library Association’s Information Power..

Location The Belleville High School Media Center is located on the second floor of our main building.

Student Responsibilities

It is school policy that a student must present a valid BHS ID and be free from Media Center obligations such as fines and overdue books to use our facility. Internet access requires training and a signed "Internet Agreement Form" on file.

Hours Before school and during school (including lunch), students must have a pass signed by one of their teachers to enter the Media Center unless they are with a class.

After school students are welcome in the Media Center without needing a pass until 3 PM.

Circulation Policies & Services
Overdue fines are $.10 per day with a maximum fine of $2.00.
Word processing computers are available to all students.
Computer discs and disc cases are available for purchase.

Student Assistants
Qualified students may apply for a position on our library student staff with an application available from our Media Center office and two recommendations from their teachers.
