Dear parents and students,
In 5th Grade Social Studies, we use the district
text book "United States-Adventure
in Time and Place". We will start doing the Reviewing Geography
Skills. These are the pages G4 to G11. It is very important that the
students learn and understand these pages. In about a week or two they
will be taking an exam covering these pages.

Completed first week of mid September!
The first unit in the book will be
"Americans and our Environment". This Unit is divided into 2
chapters:
Chapter 1-- "Life in the United States" pages 6-25
Chapter 2-- "Geography of the United States" pages 26-51
Chapter 3--
Completed
Chapter 4-- Started October 22nd ,09
Chapter 5--
There will be homework and quizzes for each
chapter, followed by a chapter test. After both chapters tests have been
taken, a unit test will follow. Students will receive study guides to
assist them in their studies.
